Pearl River Delta Digital Libraries Network
To enhance cultural collaboration and cultural development in the Greater Pearl River Delta region, the Home Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Department of Culture of the Guangdong Province and the Cultural Institute of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government signed an Agreement on Cultural Co-operation in August 2003 to establish a foundation for future collaboration. According to the Agreement, establishing connections among libraries of the Pearl River Delta region is one of the major areas of collaboration.
With supports from all the parties, Pearl River Delta Library Newsletter and Pearl River Delta Libraries Internet Reference Enquiry Service were established to enrich service capacity for the libraries users.
